Use Somebody - Kings of Leon
Look, look!! The Fray with Secondhand Serenade live at Palace Theatre. Nice eh!?
Well, let me tell you the story of how the Indian lady at the news-agency conned me into paying extra for these tickets! As you can all see, the tickets cost $66.10 each. There's also an 80cent booking fee per ticket. The seemingly nice Indian lady tells me all these, and confirms the number of tickets I am buying and gets my name and contact number. She then instructs her minion to enter these into the Tiketek machine and 7 tickets to The Fray and a receipt with my name on it magically appears from the machine.
When I asked to pay using EFTPOS, the "now annoying" Indian lady kindly explains that I need to PURCHASE something from the store, anything at all in order for her to enter a puschase amount into the EFTPOS machine and put the $468.65 (from the tickets) as a cashout.
When i could not decide what to get from this overpriced; as all convenience stores are; the "very nice(or so i thought" Indian lady suggest that she just puts $1 as the purchase amount. And so, I agreed. Hey, better than getting something I don't need and paying a ridiculus price for it. And to make up for the $1 she charged me, I grabed a pen from the bin that says 99cents each. Then left the store thinking, "well, that went well".
By the time I got about to looking at the tickets and the EFTPOS receipt, I realised that #@$^ charged me $7 instead of $1. *Kicks self for not checking receipt* Caryn tells me the lady said, "Should I just charge you $1 per ticket?"
I always read the fine prints on contracts but to listen out for fine prints!?! Absurd!! Why the heck would i let her charge me 7 bucks for nothing when i could have gotten 2 drinks for 5 from her fridge!!
I hope I've learnt my lesson now. Thanks for reading thing long and windy post. I'm taking this opportunity to practice writting for my IELTS test this Saturday and by the looks of this, even I wouldn't give myself a Band 7. Anyhooo, looking forward to TOMOROW!! PARTAY Time!
